NORTHERN SUCCESSES. ON ALL FRONTS. FALL OF PUKOW EXPECTED. BY CABLE-PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. SHANGHAI, Aug. .14. Sweeping successes of the Northerners 011 all fronts are reported. The Nationalist casualties during the recent fighting arc estimated at 30,000 and the Northerners at 6000. Ohang-Chun-Chang, a Shantung war lord, i.s assisting Sun-Chuan-Fang, the erstwhile overlord of five south-eastern provinces. His drive is towards Pukoiv, the fall of which is expected momentarily. Panic has seized the Nanking natives, who are fleeing to Shanghai by railway and all clashes of rivereraft. They declare that the recapture of Nanking by tlie Northerners is certain and they expect the city to be looted by the retreating Southerners. Chiang-Kai-Shek has arrived and con; ferred with the Nationalist Minister of Finance regarding the situation.
