Delegates tq the annual conference r.f the women’s division of the Farmers’ Union have forwarded a hostile petition on the Summer-time Bill. The principle of daylight-saving, they declare, would be harmful to the wives and children of farmers, inasmuch a*s such an innovation would seriously interfere with household and school duties and with the health of country women and children whose lot is much harder than that of the women anti children in the towns. There are 60 signatures to this pretest.
