Rumour of Laeoste’s retirement caused consternation, but his father’s statement shows that he is not going to make a bonfire of his racquets. M. I.acoste says that his son cannot make tennis the sole reason of his existence. Recently he -has done jiothing but playin one tournament- after another; in future he will play only in the most important mate-lies and tournaments. He will not play in the European zone Davis Cup finai, but in the event of trance expecting to win, will be available for tne final in America.
