WEDDING
FLA V ALL—JOHNS. A very pretty wedding took place at St. iVliairK’is Church, JAaponga, on Wednesday, J une 22, u>2 l , when Jessie Isabel, .second daughter or Air. and Airs. H. G. Johns, ot Itiveriea, was married (to Gordon Campbell, lourtir son ot Allis, and the late Air. a. Flavian, ol; Rotokare, the Rev. <J. AV. oolomon qih crating- Alls. Solomon presided at the organ. The church was tastefully decorated . by girl in ends of tlie bride. The bride, who entered the church qii the arm, of her father as “The Voice that Breathed O’er Eklen” was sung by the congregation, looked charming m a gown ot creme crepe-de-chine silver face iaml pearls with silver shoes, the long tulle veil, mounted with headdress of orange blossom and pearls. She also carried a lovely bouquet of choice white flowers, maidenhair and asparagus ferns, long streamers of white and silver ribbon. The Misses llene Johnstone iand Molly James, of New Plymouth, attended the bride, Alias Johnstone, wearing powder blue silk taffeta frqck, richly worked with trellis and roses—headdress of same. Miss James was robed in lavender silk taffeta and silver lace, with headdress to match. HoGi wore silver shoes and canned choice bouquets of flowers to match their dress. The bride’s another wore ini frock of navy blue silk marocain, blue hat, and carried a bouquet of voiilets, heliotrope 'asparagus lc"ii and leaves with long streamers of heliotrope ribbon. The bridegroom’s mother wore a rich black silk frock, long black seal coat, - and carried a sheaf of gold and pink chrysanthemums. The bridegroom was attended by bis brother, Air. A. E'lavall, as best; man and Air. A. ALoWhirter was groomsman. The bridegroom's present. to the bricle was la handsome silver fox fur, and to the bridesmaids handsome ivory backed hair brushesA reception was afterwards held in the Riiverleu Hall, where about 130 guests sat down to the wedding -breakfast. Afterwards the young couple left by car for the north, lamidst showers of confetti and good wishes. The bride travelled in a frock of fawn charmeleine, blue coat, and hat.
