MIGRATION TO VICTORIA

CHANGE OF POLICY SUGGESTED. IV CABLE -PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. - Received .10.40 a.m. to-day. LONDON, July 4. In the House of Commons, replying to Viscount Sandon, who asked a question concerning the position of immigration in Victoria, the Rt. Hon. L. C. M. S. Amery said that he understood the Victorian land settlement scheme had been suspended, but that nominated persons, men with farm experience and women for household service, were accepted as hitherto. The 1925 agreement was between Great Britain and the Commonwealth, and it was impossible to say how far this might ibe affected by the change of policy in Victoria.
