TROUBLE THREATENED.
ENGINEERS OBJECT TO PIECE WORK AWARD. ' BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. SYDNEY, July 4. Serious dissatisfaction has been caused in the engineering and metal trades unions by Mr Justice Beeby’s award. The members state that they will not have piece-work on any consideration, and indications are that a big industrial upheaval is pending if the court ’s decision legalising piece-work is enforced.
