DOMINION PREPARES TO CELEBRATE. by cable—press association— copyright. OTTAWA, June 30. Canada is bedecked from Halifax to Vancouver in preparation for the opening of her diamond jubilee to-morrow, and her federation will be commemorated even in Indian and Eskimo settlements in the far north. The celebrations begin at noon with the reading of a message from the King to the Canadian people from a dais in front of Parliament buildings. Captain Lindbergh is expected to fly the ’plane “Spirit of St. Louis’’ here on Saturday, and will receive a gold jubilee medal similar to that to be presented to the King, the Prince of Wales, and the Governor-General, Lord Willingdon. Representative*: in America of the various Dominions have arrived here and will be the guests of honour along with foreign diplomats during the celebrations.

GREETINGS FROM AUSTRALIA. OTTAWA, June 30. Australia and Italy sent birthday greetings to Canada on the sixtieth anniversary of the confederation. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. W. L. McKenzie King, has received from the Rt. Hon. S. M. Bruce, Australia’s “warmest congratulations and earnest wishes for continued development and orosueritv.” I,ON DON, J.une 30. Prince George is accompanying the Prince of Wales to Canada and will participate in The jubilee celebrations in July, when th:e Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Stanley Baldwin, will also he there.
