Betts A. J, Herbert, and D. J. Kehe-ly. FOREMAN'S REPORT. The board’s foreman reported the bursting of a glazed pipe drain in Stock Lto-ad dn consequence of a. -blockage by timjbar land rubbish. He recommended replacing tire broken pipes with a. concrete drain or concrete pipes. Attention was drawn to an act of ya-iidaiiiisan in the cemetery, the enctlosing fence of -a- grave having been damaged.
The report wai® adopted and it was decided to comply with the foremian’s •recommendations.
The chairman, considered that the reported djatmage in the cemetery should be referred hq- the police. SACRED CONCERT
An application was received from Mr A. Thomson, secretary of the Kaponga Brass Band, for the use of the Town Hall for the purpose of holding a sacred concert on Sunday, June 26.—0 n the motion of Cits. Kehely and Betts the application was granted. At the request of a (deputation.' from the band, Or. Bate® was appointed to act a® chairman at the concert'. HEAVY TRAFFIC FEES.

He thought the riding member of the council .should be approached wiilfch a A-iieAV to a better arrangement. Or. Keitel y moved that the chairman and clerk confer with the riding member of the Blitiham County Council on the question ioif setting up committees •representing the council and the Kapongiai Tojwn Beard to discuss lai more equitable a.lilocation of heaA-y traffic fees. —Seconded by Or. Betts and carried.
MLECTRI CAL ENGINEER'S REPORT The electrieal engineer (Mi-. T. B. Meivson) reported on the month’s operations os follow®: PoAver Plants. —The two plants have operated successfidiy during the month, a minimum of trouble having been experienced. The spart parts ordered some time ago for the exciter on No. 2 generator haA-e come to hand. The machine in question has been entirely rebuilt iand put into service again. Lines.—The reconstruction, gang have completed the overhaul of the lines betAveen Riverlea. and Awaituna, and between Riverleiai and the Rowan Road. At -present pole replacements are being effected on the Palmer, Sheet, and Lower Dutilide Road section. When this work has been completed the area under review Avail! be in first-class order. The materials for the building of a 6600 volt transmission line to the Miangatoki boundary are coming to hand, and I propose to have l this Avork commenced during the forthcoming Aveek. This line Aviflil then be completed before the milking season commences. No. 2 Turbine. —The spare runner for this machine has not yet been received, but ladAiices to. hand state that deliA-ery will be effected from the “Port Dunedin,” due to arrive in Wellington on the 25tli in-sit. Immediately this gear arrives No. 2 turbine Avill be dismantled and the neAV runner and shaft fitted. Consumers’ Installations.—The AA->ir-ing department is kept steadily engaged on ne.w Installations, though the rewiring of old installations is occupying a good deal of time. It- is anticipated that server al neAV motor i.nstlallliatiiions will be connected to the system before the milking season commences. The report av;t.s adopted.
CHARGES FOR, MILKING MOTOR, On the motion of Or®. Bates and Betts it aau.s resolved to adopt a revised scale of cilia,rgeis for current for milking motors- as follows: On the annual consumption, the first 200 units at 6d per unit, the next 700 units at 4d, and the balance at 2d. Tii© old change AAiais a horse-power charge of £7 IDs, plus, the first 960 units at 21 d. and the balance iat 2d per unit on the annual consumption. The new scale wall effect a material reduction in the power accounts of the small consumers. The clerk stated thlat under the old tsicale the board’s charges to large consume ns ranked among the lowest in the Dominion. The ne w scale will have the effect of still further reducing the charge to large consumers up to the consumption of 960 units, when tlie will 'ho tho igaimo rvs the former rate, 2d per unit. A sawing of 13,s 4cl per year will be effected by such consumers. FINANCIAL. The total receipts for the month amounted to £430 from all sources.
