In a soccer match at Newcastle, Newcastle defeated Cze cho-Slo vakia by fire goals to two. / The Manaia Soccer Club, which has played a prominent .part in South Taranaki soccer far several years past, has fallen upon evil days. It has been very difficult to raise a team for the last few matches and, with some of the leading players leaving the district, it has been thought better to disband. The few enthusiasts left are contemplating joining other clubs, reports the Witness.
