FARMERS’ CO-OP.
DIRECTORS’ REPORT. V The annual report of the directors, of the^Farmers’ Co-op., to be presented at uie annual meeting., is as follows: “The depressed state of the. dairy produce market, together with the stringency in financial affairs, have made the vear somewhat difticu.lt, but the trading results have been, very satiisi-aotorv. notwithstandiing. 'During the year the .sum of £21,837 was received in response, to calls on shares; this is encouraging, and we thank the shareholders who have so loyally met their calls, often at no little l inconvenience to themselves. The' nett prolit would, of course, allow us to pay a dividend to sharenoicters, but it was considered advisable to reserve one-liali of the amount for doubtful accounts, and applv the balance in reduction ol the appropriation account. We trust that shareholders wiiil take a live interest iW their society, and that a* many as possible will attend this year’s meeting. ••The retiring directors are MessrsAlexander Alexander. Robert Bremer, Alfred Corkill. Charles Dunsby Dickie, and Fred. Sarten, who have been nominated for re-election. As no further nominations for the office of director have been received, the above nominees are duly elected, and a poll is therefore imiiecessa/y."’
