Air A .U. Bennett, president of tlxe Boys’ Scout-s, opened tile proceedings witn a speech, .a which regret v\-as expressed at the departure of Air Smith, who itad who iex iiieartedly entered into the well-being of the, Scouts. An interesting musical programme was presented. tvii-s-s Hill presented the Rev. J. D. Smith with a hand-some inkwell), at the •same time expressing the appreciation of members of the Bible Class of the Help given by the guest of the evening. Air G. Bayne them presented him with a shaving sot, expressing the -sorrow of the -scouts. Responding, Air Smith heartily thanked them for the- gifts- and good wishes for Airs Smith, self and family.
