Palmer, a. local builder, has secured the' contract for alterations and additions to the local Post Office, amounting to- £16,000. Work commences, immediately. BEAUTY SPECIALIST’S BANKRUPTCY. i AUCKLAND, May 25. At a meeting of creditors in the estate of Mrs Florence Chat ter ton, who traded as a beauty specialist under the name of Florence Huillen, the schedule showed liabilities amounting to £4Bl 5s 9d, and assets to five shillings 1 . In heir statement, bankrupt ,said that she conducted, <a beauty parlour in Wellington till 1924, the" average takings being £2O per week. She came xo Auckland on account of her another’s illness and started ,a beauty parlour there. When she got oin; a paying footing, litigation over her mother’s will cost her about £4OO. She tried ro start a business in Wellington again, but failed. Her creditors deferred consideration as to whether they will provide the money to bring bankrupt back from Wellington.
