Received 1.35 p.m. to-day. LONDON, May 23. “If we once realise the law of mutual strength through mutual trade, our every purchase becomes on act of public policy, ” declared the Rt. Hon. L. M. S. Amery in an Empire Shopping Week speech at Brighton. He added: “To-morrow, throughout the Empire, we shall celebrate, not only the great achievements of the past, but the wonderful hopes of the future. In the policy of mutual purchase between Britain and the Dominions, there is a law of Imperial strength, prosperity and progress as clear as the law of gravitation. ” —Aus.
