FRENCH PRESIDENT.
VISIT TO BRITAIN. THE KING’S MESSAGE. (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, May 26. The King has sent the following message to President Doumargue: — “The Queen and I hasten to thank you, Monsieur 1© President, for your kind message upon your quitting British shores at the conclusion of the visit which has been to us a happy experience. I wish again to express the immense satisfaction that your presence has given to my people, enabling them to testify to their aifeetion for you, Monsieur le President, and to the close friendship associating us with the great nation of which you are the ilustrious head.”
