A. visit to the offices of Areas Ltd. show® that the furniture and fittings of the room® were not disturbed, but were covered with dust. The strongroom 1 ® were considerably damaged, holes big enough, to admit a man having been hewn through brick, concrete, aud steel. A small safe in Khinchuk’s office was bored in twelve places and tlie pieces were lying on the floor. “The damage to the building is nothing compared with the damage to the Anglo-Russian arrangements," said Mr. J. Boeff, the iacting-ch airman. “Even the normal work of the trade delegation and Areo® Ltd. may not continue. and the Soviet may not take the political risk of dealing with Britain. Machinery orders which the loan would have financed would mean much to British manufactures, but it is now very unlikely that they will he concluded.
