At the Supreme Court, Lucy Charlotte Witty, a widow, claimed from the Southland County Council £ISOO damages for the death of her husband, who was struck by a motor-car driven by a servant of tlie corporation, John Guy Dennison, who, had since left the Dominion. Witty was cycling at night on his right fide of the road when lie was run down, and the plaintiff contended that the damage to Dennison’® car corresponded with what could be expected from .such a collision. The jury awadred £BO7, with costa.
