BOOT-GROWING COMPETITIONS

ITINERARY FOR JUDGING

In connection with the root-growing competitions of the South Taranaki Boys ’ and Girls ’ Agricultural Clubs, the following itinerary of judging has been, drawn up by Mr. A. J. Glasson, fields instructor, who asks that supervisors and parents attend to convey pupils to the various plots: — May 23—Ohangai, 9.30 a.m.; Mokoia, 1.30 p.m. May 25—Matapu ,9.30 a.m.; Mangatoki, 2.30 p.m. May ' 26—Okaiawa, 9.30 a.m.; Manaia, 1.30 p.m. May 27—Tokaora, 9.30 a.m.; Norma nby, 11.30 a.in.; May 30 —Otakeho, 9.30 a.m.; Oeo, 12 o’clock; Mangahume, 2.30 p.m. May 31 —To Kiri, 9.30 a.m.; Awatuna, 12 o’clock; Makaka, 2.30 p.m. June 2 —Riverlea, 9.30 a.m.; Kaponga I. p.m.; Rowan, 2.30 p.m. June 6—Finnertv, 9.30 a.m.; Ngaere, 11. a.m.; Pukengahu, 2.30 p.m. June 7—Toko, 9.30 a,m.; Douglas, 2.30 p.m. June S—lluiraa, 9.30 a.m.; Stanley, 1.0 p.m. 1 June 9—Midhirst, 9.30 a.m.; Pembroke, 11.30 a.m.; Cardiff, 1.30 p.m.

All charts must be completed and available at the school on the day of judging. The attention of teachers is drawn to the ’fact that the competitors will be required to answer a short series of questions on the raising of the crop, and the marks allowed for these questions will he taken into account when marking the charts.
