PARTICIPATION IN RELIEF FUNDS. BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, April 29. The annual meeting of the Auckland Returned- Soldiers’ Association decided to .send a remit to the annual conference in Wellington that the War Council Funds Board and the Canteen Board .should distribute in the form, of relief among ex-soldiers portions of the interest, the money to come preferably out of the War Council funds. Mr S. A. Carr said that each board had about £200,000 to its credit. If the fund's were nursed for the next 20 years half our men would be dead. Mr (Jorgensen said that the wishes of the donors were being defeated. The funds were given with the primary view of helping returned men. The chairman.: “I agree, but you have to tell that to the Minister, two or three judges, and several lawyers i n Wellington. ’ ’
