ALLEGED NEGLIGENT DRIVING. (BY TELEGRAPH—VRESS ASSOCIATION.) NELSON, April 23. The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Yolande Murphy, aged 19, a married woman, who died as the result of injuries sustained by being knocked down by a motor car near Motueka, driven by Edward Carl Smith, was held to-day. A veTdict was returned that death was due to negligent driving. Smith, was subsequently charged, under the Motor Vehicles Act, with negligent driving, and was committed for trial, bail being allowed.
