Per the financial year ending to-day the amount of net Customs duty ceived at the Dunedin office was £873,513' 6s 6d, as compared with £942,542 6s lid for the previous financial year. The amount of beer duty was £232,166 6s 2d, as against £227,211 13s lOd for the previous financial year. The figures for the month ending today were as follow (those for March oi. last year being given in parentheses): Customs duty £80,599 12s 4d - Os lid); beer duty £l9 879 10s (£21,4/1 12s 9d). Figures for the Januarv-1 eb-ruary-March quarters (last year’s being 'given in parentheses)) are: Customs £217,897 14s 3d (£240,444 Os (id); beer £60,249 16s (£59,356 3s 8d).
