The mystery surrounding the death of Nurse Darnels is no nearer solution, sais, the result;- of the Boulogne inquiry. Nur.se McCarthy, in A statement isaid she had no intention ot; going to France to give evidence before ~ a magistrate and added : “I am, -willing to be examined in England by any lawyer or magistrate, but my nervous condition will not permit me to eiiduie the French method of interrogation. Miss McCarthy is at present in a state of nervousness bdardering on hysteria, following what she describes as persecution of amateur detectives. In the meantime, the Boulogne authorities say: “We can do nothing more ■until we have Miss McCarthy.
