The startling announcement from Scotland: Yard that eight test , tubes stolen from a doctor’s car at Bloom sbuty contained germs of anthrax, typhhidJ and; other diseases and were highly infectious ia,nd ! dangerous, excited speculation on the danger of a fearful epidemic. This was relieved later in the day, when the test, tubes were found ,in Lincoln’s Inn fields, the thief having hurriedly discarded them on discovering their nature..
