PLUNKET SOCIETY.
MONTHLY MEETING
The meeting of the Hawera branch of the Piunket Society was held at 2 p.m. in the Piunket Rooms on Tuesday, there being present Mesdames Watt and Whitehead (Upunake), Sutherland and Gamlin (Manaia), Haggett (chair), Job son, Tait (treasurer), Davy, Carter, and Crompton (hon. secretary). Apologies were received irom Kaponga, Mesdames Winks, Bone, Godfrey, and Morris. ‘ Mrs. Pacey resigned from active membership on the committee. Her resignation was accepted with much regret. The committee wishes to thank Mr. O’Dea for a rebate of £2 2s on his account.
During the month Nurse Dix has been away on holiday, and Nurse Nicholson, has been relieving. A subscription of us was received from Mrs. Carter.
Accounts amounting to £54 15s 5d were passed for payment The nurse’s report for the month was as follows: New cases, mothers and babies 31, visits to homes 246, visits to rooms 703.
