Three youths appeared before Mr. J. S Barton, S.M., this morning charged with breaking telegraph line insulators on a. country road. Sergeant Henry stated that the telegraph linesmen had reported that in isolated places considerable damage was clone in this manner, and in the present instance 25 insulators had been destroyed. The lads admitted breaking some, but not nearly to the number mentioned. The Magistrate, in pointing out the seriousness of the offence, stated that he would adjourn the matter for two months. In the meantime the defendants would be directed to pay a weeklysum toward the damage, and would be prohibited from attending pictures during the period.
