Patea 43 beat Eltnam (2) 42; Park (1) 41 beat Kaponga (2) 28; Stratford Avon 48 beat Hawera (2) 30; Park (2) 35 beat Rahotu 27; Eltham (1) 46 beat Okaiawa 39; -Manaia 47 beat Kaponga (1) 24; Park won hv default from Stratford. SECOND ROUND.
Patea 35 beat Park (1) 31; Stratford Avon 52 beat Park (2) 26; Hawera (1) 48 heat Park (3) 13. There is one more match in the second round, Eltham (1) v. Manaia, and the winner then -plays Hawera (1) to go into the next round. This would leave that winner to play the winner of Stratford Avon v. Patea in the finals. CAMPBELL -CUP. FINALS ON SATURDAY. Owing to had weather, the finals of the Campbell Cup have been postponed until Saturday, play will commence at 9.30 a.m. In the report of the exciting match between Hawera (.1) v. Patea, it. should have road that. Mrs. .Bennett, who had made herself a “rover,” pegged out, Mr. Gibbs, and then after an interesting. tussle, Mrs. Bennett pegged and Miss Power shortly after doing; likewise, Hawera won bv one point. It was a vorv close finish.
