LONDON QUOTATIONS DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated March 5, from the High Commissioner lor New Zealand, London: — Butter. Slow demand for finest New Zealand and Australian, fair demand lor Argentine. Official quotations are : New Zealand finest salted, 1625. to 1665. per cud., and up to 1685.; unsalted, 1765. to 181>s. per cwt. Other qualities 1565. to 158 s. per cwt.; Australian unsalted, 160 s. to 1665. per cwt.; salted, 1565. to 160 s. per cwt.; other qualities, 1465. to 1545. per cwt. Argentine unsalted, 1525. to 1565. per cwt.; other qualities, 146 s to 1505.; Danish, 186 s. per cwt. Cheese. Demand slow for colonial. Official quotations are: English, finest farmers’, 116 s. to 120 s. per cwt.; Canadian finest coloured and white, 90s. to 98s.* per cwt.; exceptional, 100 s.; other qualities, 945. to 955. per cwt. ; New Zealand coloured anti white, 87 s, to l 88s.; other qualities, 85s. to 86s. per cwt. Estimated cheese stocks at London, Liverpool, and Bristol on March 1: Canadian and American, 57,500 lx>xes; New Zealand and Australian, 124,450 crates, against 67,300 and 68,100 same time last year. Casein. Present quotations are: New Zealand rennet, £SO; French rennet, £6O; Danish £65; Finnish lactic, £6l.
