At- a conference of rail way men’s district councils, a motion .was) passed demanding that the national, political, and industrial movements oppose the proposed legislations indicated in. the King’s Speech, interfering with the Trades Disputes Act and restricting the functions of trades unions. It was- a’so resolved to insist <n the unconditional restoration of a guaranteed week, and to arrange for a conference in order to unite the three railway unions into one organisation.
