MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
MAINTENANCE CASES. At the Hawera Magistrate’s Court yesterday % Sarah Turner (Mir. G. J. Baylev) proceeded against David Turner (Mr. H. G. Brodie) for separation anti maintenance. The case was adjourned for a fortnight, after the evidence of plaintiff and part of the defence had been heard. The case arose on the matter of religious differences. Plaintiff had left the sect to which the defendants and the rest of the family belonged. Emma Jacobsen (Mr. H. L. Spratt) applied for a variation of a maintenance order against Hans Jacob Jacobsen, providing for payments to be made in Hawera instead of at Eltham. — % Granted.
