(From Our Own Correspondent.) BOWLING. Manaia and Kaponga bowlers met on tne Kapionga green on Saturday, the match resulting in a win for Manaia by 36 points. Mr H. H Henderson welcomed Manaia, and Mr N. G. Innes responded. The green was in perfect order ,and a pleasant afternoon was spent.' The gala day to be held on the Kaupokonni heaeh on Wednesday will afford a varied and attractive programme, which should draw a big attendance to the popular resort. Contests in swimming and diving and noveltv events will provide entertainment, ' while full opportunity will he afforded for enjoying river and surf bathing. Picnic parties are . being catered for, and hot water will be available free of charge.
