GARDEN FETE.

PARK BOWLING AND TENNIS CLUBS. IN AID OF FUNDS. Much interest is being taken in the preliminary arrangements for the fete to be held on Wednesday, February 9 at the park, Hawera, in aid of the Park Bowling and Tennis Clubs. The attractions being arranged are many and varied and will draw a large crowd if the- weather is fine. Decorated car competition, (1) for commercial vehicles —for which already strong support has been received and cash prizes offered —and (2) for other motor vehicles —for which_ trophies are presented— will he a -special feature. Another attraction will be- a parade by local garages of new curs.. It will form a great attraction and will he an exhibit rarely -seen in Hawera. Other events will he on the programme which will -suit, all tastes so that the fete is certain to appeal to all. It will he continued afternoon and evening. I
