PROFITS OF PROFESSIONALS. WORLD TOUR CONTEMPLATED. BY CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION-COPYBIGHT. Received 9.10 a.m. to-day. NEW YORK, Jan. 29. Mr Pyle has announced that MR lie. Lenglen* who, after three more engagements in the- United States leaves for France on February 2, profited to the extent of 100,000 dollars from professional tennis exhibitions. She received a fiat guarantee of 60,000 dollars and 50 per cent, of the nett gate receipts. Richards was guaranteed 35,000 dollars and Mrs Brown 30,000, each receiving 5 per cent, of the gate receipts. The present tour ought Mr Pyle 500,000 dollars in receipts, and he estimates his profits from 50,000 to 75,000 dollars.
Exhibitions were held in forty American cities, and as a result of their success, the troupe contemplates a world tour this year, including France, G?tnany, Japan and Australia.
