Renown sailed tor New r Zealand yesterday, after the Duke and Duchess of York had been loyally greeted by the British colony, including thousands, of West Indian negroes. The day’s programme consisted oi the delivery of addresses by prominent citizens, the inspection of war veterans and h°y ..scouts, and a luncheon with the president of the Republic of Panama, Senor Rodolfo Ghiari. RECEPTION ARRANG EMENTS> AT AUCKLAND. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND. Jau. 27. There will be very little military display in Auckland when the Duke and Duchess of York arrive next month to commence their tour of the Dominion. As the Renown comes into the harbour a Royal Salute of 21 guns will be fired by the saluting battery at Fort Uautley and when Their Royal Highnesses coin© ashore at 9.30 a.m. they will be accorded a salute by a guard of honour of three officers and 100 other ranks drawn from the Ist Battalion of the 3rd Auckland Regiment. The King .9 colour only will be carried by the guard. When the Prince of Wales visited New Zealand .special parades of returned soldiers and of territoi-ial and senior cadet units were called, and the route taken by tlie Prince on his way to the. civic reception at the Tow r n Hall was lined with troops. . It is not the intention of the military authorities, to call any such parades for the coming visit.
