SOUTH TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. HEADQUARTERS AT HAWERA. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON N., Jan. 24. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Croquet Association was held tonight. The election of officers resulted as”follows: —President, Mr «T. Murray (Palmerston North); vice-president, Mr A. G. F. Ross (Christchurch); seeretarv and treasurer, Mr C. A. Ferguson (Palmerston North); official handieappers, Mrs Kcasing (Auckland), Mr J. Murrav (South Auckland), Mrs Watkins (Hawke’s Bay), Mr R. Caughley (Wellington), Mrs Baxter (Manawatu), Mr A. G. F. Ross (Canterbury), Mrs Shallcross (West Coast), Mrs Waters (Nelson), Mrs Morrison (Taranaki), Mrs Man'hive (Otago), Mr A. S.‘ W. Aitlcen (Southland); executive, Messrs Murray, Ferguson and Ross. It was decided to hold the 1928 Dominion tourney at Palmerston North, while an application from the Wanganui Association for the North Island championships was approved. The apjilication of ten clubs in South Taranaki to form a separate association with headquarters in Hawcra, was granted.
