MANGATOKI.

(From Our-Own Correspondent.) GREENMEADOWS TRAGEDY. During the end of last week a gloom was cast over the district when word came through '’that two of our local young people had been drowned at Greenmeadows beach. Although they had not been here a considerable time, they had made numbers of friends and been77ie very popular. Much sympathy is extended towards the sorrowing parents and relations. The funeral of the late Miss Hammond took place at Stratford on Sunday, and was largely attended. The body of the late Mr Pennington, so fax, has not been recovered.
