THE TOOL KIT
A minor, but important point m design which is now receiving the attention it deserves, is the way m which the tool kit may be accommodated in the ear This is a matter which may be considered relatively unimportant m comparison with, say, the accessibility of the carburetter and magneto contact breaker, but a moment ’s reflection shows that in the majority of eases any trouble with either of these components means having recourse to the tool hit. A choked jet usually entails the use of the jet key, and if the mnometo contact points require atten tion it is quite likely the magneto spanner will be needed. It is, therefore, just as necessary for the tool kito be'accessible in such cases, and the inconvenience of having to disturb the passengers in order to extract the toot roll from the locker beneath the real seat, or under the rear floorboards, has many times been pointed out. Of late much more attention has been paid to this and other similar points, and there are examples to be seen of neatly arranged tool lockers or trays which giie immediate access to their contents without the driver disturbing any ot the other occupants of the car.
