KAPONGA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Wireless receptions are becoming very popular here. The latest set- installed is a 5-valve Radiola at Mr Harry Hawke’s shop, where during the* pastweek receptions from Austraian and New. Zealand stations were excellent, coming in dearly, with very little static. Mr Roy Jones’s transfer to Opunake deprives the township of a keen wireless enthusiast.. Mr J. G. Dagg. a well-known Wairarapm,sheep farmer, is spending a few weeks here with his son. Air R. D. Dagg, of Palmer Road. Yesterday was quite a gala day in Tvaponga. particularly in the vicinity of the bowling green. Three teams from the Avon (Stratford)' Ladies’ Croquet dub tried conclusions with the loea'i ladies and four rinks of the Avon Bowling Chib met and defeated Kaponga. Tennis also claimed a fair share of devotees.
