The ballot of the National Union of Seamen rejected politica, l . affiliations bv 13.986 to 2382. Mr Havelock Wilson, in explaining the decision, says that the union is now entirely non-political, and is completely severed from the Labour Party. It was pointed out that members of the union henceforth wouiYl nob pay a political levy.
