As a sequel to the special methods employed to light the increasing hooliganism, the Soviet police organisation, the Ogpu, announced that 14 bandits had been .shot without trial. Altogether the Ogpu had rounded up nine gangs concerned in forty-seven armed robberies in Moscow.
