DANCE RECITAL.

MRS WILSON’S (EDWARDS) PUPILS. TO-NIGHT IN OPERA HOUSE. The first of two interesting and attractive dance recitals under the aegis of Mrs Wilson (Edwards) will be given to-night in the Opera House, when a remarkably fine programme of ballets, solo dances and duos will be performed. The dressing will be specially pretty and effective, the scenery new and suited to the performance, while the lighting will be a marked feature of the recital. There will be no less than 70 performers, and these will include Miss Betty Jacomb, who will give a toe solo dance and Highland fling, and, with Miss Lois Douglas, a new feature, “Pastoral Idyll,” set to the “Blue Danube” waltz. Other performers will be Jean Robb, Mary Bright, Mona Lay, Sheila Douglas, Audrey McLaren, Sylvia Davey, Doris McGhie, Joan Dykes, Joyce and June Goodwin, Olga Laidlaw, and Bobby Graham. A dainty number will be the military ballet, with Alison Goodson as the vocal soloist and little Bob Graham as the drummer boy. A graceful quartette will be danced by Patty Ekdahl, Chloe Goodwin, Gladys Lay and Zelda' Spragg. The recital bids fair to be the best of the many successful performances given by Mrs Wilson.. A second recital will be given tomorrow night.
