APPEAL ON BEHALF OF LEPEBB. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESB ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 13. Sir Maui Pomare, Minister of Cook Islands, has received through Government House advice from the Governor of Fiji that the medical superintendent of Makogai leper station is making his annual appeal for contributions for tho leper patients’ Christmas funds. Ho acknowledges with deep gratitude the response made last year, emphasising the joy the gifts brought to tho patients. The pleasure these acts of benevolence bring to the patients is an important factor in their cure. The office of the Minister will be pleased to receive contributions to the appeal. So far as gifts other than money is concerned, the last opportunity for despatch will be by the Tofua from Auckland on December 4. Gifts will be carried free by the Union Company.
