Crowds continued 1 to pass the Cenotaph, and despite the heavy rain, unending streams of humanity were still thronging Whitehall at midnight. Armistice Day in Dublin, and in Ireland ended in riotous demonstrations, the police dispersing the fighting crowds with their batons.
