A l TEMPTED MURDER) CHARGE.
YOUNG MAORI IN COURT
(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NAPIER., Nov. 9. A Maori youth, Hori Ngatoro, who is not quite sixteen years of age, appeared at the Supreme Court to-day to answer charges arising out- of a. shooting incident at Otane on September 6. The charges were: (1) Attempting to murder Edward Grace Watts; (2) wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm; (3) discharging a firearm with intent to do grievous bodily harm; (4) breaking and entering the dwelling of Mr. Watts, with intent to commit a< crime. The hearing of evidence, lor the prosecution was not concluded when the court adjourned till to-morrow. The facts disclosed were in accordance with the evidence given in the lower court at AYaipawa.
