LONG DISTANCE CALKS. The toll charge for telephone calls of over 150 miles lias been reduced by half, and 1 the hours over which the halfrate charge operates is twelve instead of eleven as previously. The following schedules show the old and new charges from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.: TO AUCKLAND.

The rates from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. are approximately half the day rates, being a little less than half over the 'qngest ■distance.
