About 35 put in an appearance, but work was confined to slow and half pace exercise. Maurice Conway, who on Tuesday made his first appearance in the training area after his mishap at the Waverley meeting, did not remain out of the saddle for long, and was at Tiding work on Thursday. G. Ingram, an apprentice rider of Mr O. Cox’s, hao a mcky escape when exercising Euphonium this morning, his mount, as the result of a sudden swerve which brought a hoof in contact with the fence wire, rearing and falling backwards. Ingram, however, managed to clear himself as the animal fell and escaped the -threatening roll. In company with Gaillard, the twoyear gelding Silvcrmine made a fair gallop on the plough on Thursday, half a length in favour of the former separating the pair nt the finish of half a mile in 51 see.
