REDS MAKE PROGRESS.
KIUKIANG OCCUPIED.
FOREIGN MARINES LANDED.

The Reds have, commenced a determined attack on the eastern front and have advanced with amazing rapidity, pushing back Marshal 'Sun Chuan Fang’s forces. They have occupied Kiukiang, where British, Japanese aud French marines were landed for the protection of foreign lives and property. The foreign concessions are crammed with refugees. Heavy fighting is taking place in the city’s environs. The city gates have been closed. British gunboats and American destroyers are standing by.
