MEILBOUSNE, Nov. 5. , In the Assembly, a private member’s bill, providing for tlie removal of legal barriers to Hie admittance of women to public and professional positions, was passed in all tlie stages. The Bnl provides that women shall be required to resign from the public service upon marriage, and preserves the ban on barmaids imposed by the Licensing Act.
