ROYAL WEDDING
FOUR KINGS PRESENT.
SCENES IN STOCKHOLM.
THE TWO .CEREMONIES. •
31 CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT STOCKHOLM, Nov. 3. To-day’s wedding of Princess Astrid to Prince Leopold of Belgium promises to bo most brilliant. Four kings are here —King Gustaf of Sweden, King Albert of Belgium. King HaaJcon of Norway, and King Christian of Denmark —with their Queens and sons and daughters. Although no member of the British Royal Family will be j>regent at the civil ceremony here, Prince Henry will attend the religious ceremony in Brussels next week. The wedding will be followed by a procession in open carriages, the bridal couple in the gold State coach. The scene last night in the snow-clad city was wonderful. All the streets and public buildings were illuminated, and branches of fir trees were used p'entifu'lly for decorations, while in central places stood iron braziers and flaming torches.
Princess Astrid’s presents include a diadem of magnificent gems from the King and Queen of Belgium. After the ceremony the couple will separate awhile because, while Sweden regards it as binding, the Belgian people do not consider the couple married until the ceremony., is performed in the Roman, Catholic Church. Prince Leopold and his parents therefore will depart late at night for Gothenburg, en rout to Ostend. Princess Astrid and her mother will also leave, but by another route, travelling toMalmo, where they will embark on a Swedish cruiser for Antwerp. There Prince Leopold will meet Princess Astrid and> escort her to Brussels.'
