ITEMS FROM THE BUDGET. BY CABLE—PR EBS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT Received 11.45 a.m. to-day. ADELAIDE, Nov. 3. In the Assembly the Treasurer, in his Budget speech, said that the surplus for 1925-26 was £13,151. The sum of £193,000 for railway stores not paid for last year had been carried through for this year. The sinking fund had received £236,000. The estimated surplus for this year on la fourteen bushel harvest, against twelve bushels last year, is £SOOO. Land tax is to be increased by 50 per oent., the super tax on incomes by 10 per cent to meet losses in the general revenue, exclusive of the railways.
