A Press Association message from Sydney reports the arrival in that city of Coionel J. W. Hutchen, secretary to the Western Samoan districts. He is on his way to New Zealand. At the Parish Hall, Eltham, the Rev. Father Moore was welcomed home after a trip to Ireland. Mr E. P. Kilbride, on behalf of the Eltham and Kaponga parishioners, presented Father Moore with an illuminated address and welcomed him back to Eltham. Speeches of welcome were also made by Monsignor Power (Hawera), Father ' Sweeney (Eltham), Father Cahill (Stratford), Father Forrestnl (Inglewood), and Messrs C. Crowley and J. Hammerslev (Kaponga). Mr. Edward Hall, an old resident of Hawera, and a gardener by occupation, was seized with a fainting fit while conversing in High Street to-day. He fell to the ground. Medical aid was summoned, and the sufferer Was removed in the ambulance to the hospital, where lie was soon on rthe path to recovery.
