DAIRY CONTROL

INTERESTING LEGISLATION. DISPOSAL OF PRODUCE COMPANY SEEKS INJUNCTION. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION .) WELLINGTON, Oct 19. Argument was heard by the Full Court to-day in respect to an injunction which is being sought by the Waitaki Dairy Company restraining. the Dairy Produce Board from assuming' control of dairy produce manufactured for export from milk or cream purchased outright from the producers, and from selling or disposing of such produce. Among the arguments for the plaintiff it was stated that the company did not purchase milk or cream on terms requiring the payment of a return to the producer depending upon the price realised on the sale of the produce, whether in New Zealand or in England. The company claims that it would be entitled to dispose of its produce as it pleases. It seeks a declaration that it may export its produce free from the board’s control.
